The Progress and Promise Media Academy, ‘Addressing the Many Faces of Inflammatory Disease,’ will be held on Thursday 4 February 2010 at the Hotel Tryp Atocha, Madrid, Spain.
 
Media Academy Programme

Inflammatory diseases pose an extensive burden on society and have a severe negative effect on patients quality of life. Through interactive break-out sessions and access to internationally renowned physicians and patient speakers, media will gain a greater understanding of those affected by these debilitating diseases.

The Media Academy will highlight the current challenges faced in treating inflammatory disease, raise awareness of inflammatory disease and its burden, and discuss the need for early diagnosis, referral and appropriate management strategies.

Key highlights of the Media Academy will include:

  • 'The true story behind the face of inflammatory disease' – Learn the impact of inflammatory diseases on quality of life from a patient’s perspective
  • 'Understanding the role of appropriate treatment' – Hear data from leading experts in the field of rheumatology and dermatology on the current challenges faced in treating inflammatory diseases
  • 'Where do we go from here?' – Participate in a panel discussion on the ongoing unmet clinical need to explore future management strategies for inflammatory diseases
